M & J Motor Services has now been trading for more than 26 years. It started business in a small workshop in Bredhurst during November 1983. The owner Mr Martin Whale has had over 35 years experience in the motor trade.
Jackie Whale has played an important part as a partner and secretary and now administers the accounts. Success in the early years enabled the business to expand and purchase new and much larger premises in Ivy Street Rainham.
Colin Pearmain joined the business in 1995 as General Manager and Senior technician and plays an important role in the every day running of the site. Colin has good knowlege of a range of vehicles and combined with all our staff provides an impressive team at our site.
Lee is our workshop controller and assists in everyday running of the site. He has a wide knowledge of vehicle systems and is a valued member of our team. .
Daniel has joined us a a trainee under Remit and will attend Maidstone college for his NVQ's while in house training will give him good experience and gain his assessments as part of his course..
The business continued to flourish and opened the MOT Bay in1996. This enabled the business to test petrol and diesel vehicles on site.
With the advance in engine management systems they have invested in technology to enable repair of the modern vehicle including ABS, injection systems and diesel repairs. Indeed servicing many vehicles now requires a check on the electrical system that is becoming difficult for the smaller garage to cope with.
We now have facilities to diagnose Japanese and Korean systems, not forgetting most European Models. Going back to the main dealer is becoming a thing of the past.
Part of our service now includes air conditioning repairs and servicing to all vehicles that are compliant with 134a gas.
We now have our own machine shop incorporating Lathes, Milling machine and surface grinders.
Much has been re invested over the years to keep up with modern techniques and we have a well equipped workshop for all your needs.
All our workmanship and parts are fully guaranteed, and we operate under the rules and regulations laid down by the Good Garage Scheme
